CityMove Ltd is an Auckland moving company based at 16 Harrison Road, Mount Wellington. We move houses, apartments, offices and pianos around Auckland, and we take loads between cities and between the North and South Islands.

Where we work from
The depot is in Mount Wellington, not a virtual office. Crews leave from 16 Harrison Road for jobs across the isthmus, the North Shore, West Auckland, South Auckland, East Auckland, Franklin and the Hibiscus Coast.
That matters on a weekday. A truck already in Mount Wellington can reach Onehunga, Ellerslie, Howick or the city without burning half the morning on an empty run.
Within Auckland
Most of our week is local work: a two-bedroom flat with a tight lift, a family home on a steep drive, an office that has to be empty before staff arrive Monday, or a single couch that will not fit in a mate’s trailer.
On a local job we pack if you want us to, take furniture apart when it needs it, protect floors, load to a plan, and put boxes in the rooms you mark at the other end. We deal with building managers, parking permits and the 7–9am / 3–6pm traffic windows that actually decide whether a move finishes in daylight.
Intercity and inter-island moves
New Zealand does not have states. If your furniture is leaving Auckland, it is an intercity move or an inter-island move.
We run household and office loads to Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Palmerston North, Wellington, Napier, Hastings, Christchurch, Dunedin, Nelson, Queenstown and other centres. For Cook Strait jobs we plan the road legs and the ferry or coastal shipping so you are not coordinating three different operators.
You can book an exclusive truck or a part-load if the dates are flexible. The quote says which one you are getting, and the date range that goes with it.
International moves
Moves into or out of New Zealand are a different job: export packing, inventories, customs, biosecurity, and a destination agent. We coordinate that file. It is not a same-week local shift, and we will not pretend it is.
If you are arriving into Auckland or leaving the country, start with a quote and tell us the origin or destination country. We will tell you what we can take and what has to stay.

How a booking works
- You send the two suburbs, a date and a rough size — bedrooms, office headcount, or photos of the rooms.
- We ask about stairs, lifts, parking and anything awkward (piano, spa, safe, long carry).
- You get a written quote. GST and fuel are in the figure we send. If access changes the price, that is written down before move day.
- On the day the crew protect the floors, load to the plan, and place items at the other end.
- If the load is going into storage or across Cook Strait, that stays on the same job file.

If your street is not named above, still ask. Local jobs are quoted on access and volume, not on whether the suburb made a list.
Other cities
We deliver to, collect from, or run both ends in Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Palmerston North, Hawke’s Bay, Whangārei, Queenstown, Nelson, Rotorua, New Plymouth and Invercargill.
A Wellington or Christchurch job is planned as a route, not as a long local hour-rate. That is why those quotes look different from a Mount Wellington to Remuera shift.
